Jo Dee Foster (our artist) has always had a thirst for life and a desire to share her passion with others. In 2001, she decided it was time to turn her passion into her profession & to begin reaching folks outside of her family & friends.....and founded Cutting-Up. Her unique talent of creating thought-filled mixed media collage artwork now had even greater purpose, and she began focusing full-time on her hand-crafted designs.

By August 2004, Jo Dee's Cutting-Up included a line of jewelry and t-shirts and participated in its first wholesale gift market. In July 2005, Cutting-Up became a partnership when Jo Dee's long-time childhood friend, Colleen Cooper, joined the business. Jo Dee and Colleen continued to grow Cutting-Up, but as so many young companies do, found themselves challenged with increasing needs for capital and infrastructure.

In June 2006, two 7-year associates & friends working together for a firm based out of the Silicon Valley, were looking for a small business that they could help grow and begin building their bridge out of Corporate America. Via fate, Lucky Mefortune or something else, the 2 unlikely twosomes found one another and Cutting-Up entered its next phase of growth.

The "Angel Investors," as Jo Dee would name them, brought their experience in growing a corporation from 50 employees to 1,500 employees, as well as the capital they had set aside along the way.....and we've been in over-drive ever since. The recent road we've traveled hasn't been easy, but we feel blessed to have this opportunity to work with one another and to share our messages with a much broader audience...and we're more than optimistic about the future of Cutting-Up.

While we've found ways to become more efficient and effective, we have not let go of the personal touch involved in the design & production of our products or customer service. One of our goals is to continually reach the masses and still enable each individual connect with our messages in their own unique way.
