Bekah and Colleen Hit Chi-Town for Cutting-Up!!!

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Oh, how we love Chicago… new adventures and always welcoming new friends into the Cutting-Up fold to share the positive vibes of our amazing, growing line!  Special heartfelt thanks go out to our cool friend and hip-chick, Bekah, the most adorable bit of sunshine in Chi-town, for helping our postive-vibe traveler, Colleen, at the Stylemax show in this October!  These two made quite a duo and tripped happy-happy as they kept the vibes resonating.  Me? I was blessed to stay behind to continue creating some new works of art for 2009!  Thanks, girls!!!!  ZOMG!  You look SO ADORABLE!  I la la la love you!!!!

Big Yellow Taxi

Perhaps we were a little discombobulated from the unexpected overnight in North Carolina due to delays in airline travel.  But, Colleen and I finally arrived in New York City refreshed and ready to work… sort of… well, not really; ok - but, we did pull ourselves together quickly.  At best, we certainly proved ourselves a resiliant duo. Sure Market began the day we arrived, at 9 a.m.; but, we didn’t check into our hotel until 10:30 a.m., giving new meaning to “WHACKED!” (whacked: Just…not right. Meaning crazy, weird, odd, interestingly funny, etc.)

Example: That joke is really whacked.

I love this first taxi pic with Michael Phelps on the billboard in the background, as we traveled in the midst of the 2008 Olympic games.

Minus one set of luggage, we spruced ourselves up and headed to the Javits to set-up our display…. (to be continued…)

New York City, BABY!

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

We may have left a bit of our hearts in San Francisco (Gift Market) ; but, we’ve finally on our way back to the Big Apple!  New York City, BABY!  The first time we displayed in NY was this past Feb. And, of course I cried excited happy tears both in the San Fran airport & in the plane somewhere high above our continental U.S. (and maybe a little bit writing this right now).  Getting to NY has truly been a dream come true for me, a full-circle experience I’ve the priviledge to acknowledge!  Thanks to everyone now - in the past - & all along this ride - that’s been a part of this beautiful Cutting-Up story.  Colleen & I, as well as now an entire, fabulous Cutting-Up collective, treasure the support & love we’ve felt along the way that’s made it possible for us to be heading back to the heart of things (with all our collective heart(s) to see what may come our way. Fingers crossed & big prayers up!  I love every step of this heart-full adventure… We’re going to do our best; so, if you would, please keep us in your prayers.  What a feeling!  Let the countdown to lift-off begin because we are  FULL to the BRIM with GRATITUDE!  Wahoo!
