Remember being 19-ish & the wide-open-road had such appeal -and- ”Road trip anyone?!” was like a boost of adrenaline?  ”The more the merrier” was a sure thing ~ as it was the best way to curb costs.

As time marches on & our expereinces broaden ~ and our personal views seem to narrow - there are fewer experiences we retain interest in sharing with a car load in our 40’s… and certainly driving 15 hours would rank low on the list of do-able.  But, this was a special case & there was an agreement ~ for a college football game we would make the grand consession… after all, this wasn’t just any game… it was TCU vs Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl! So ~ we loaded up to drive Westward to beautiful sun-shiny Arizona!

I love noticing unexpected hearts; and, NYC offers treasures to photograph.  Thank you New York for a great summer Gift Market!  We love the opportunity to visit the Big Apple!

Motivated by the beautiful summer’s day in NYC, Colleen & I woke early to set-up the booth at the Javits.  Once we were satisfied with set-up, we set out to the city streets to explore some of the city before dinner.

I love this captured candid moment in Central Park.  It seems dream-like; &, I wonder if the couple would think back on this day with endearment if they could see their image like this… Makes me wonder.

Neither Colleen or I had ever been to Tavern on the Green… It’s so adorably tucked inside NYC Central Park… Amidst this lovely, historic escape, the giant gorilla topiary TOTALLY cracked us up!

We left Central Park to head to one of the places we love to eat in NYC.  And, since the walking is amazing in NYC, and there’s something scenic at each turn, we decided to walk much of the way from Central Park to SOHO…  

Colleen & I had a great opportunity to visit Saint Louis for a business meeting this week.  On the way to the airport, I snapped this pic of the arch with my camera phone.  Hope you love it… it was such a beautifully picture-perfect day!

Heading out to NY, via a Miami layover… At the DFW airport the wishbone was seen as a festive good luck symbol for our very early morning departure.

Hustling through the Miami Airport we stopped to photograph this cool, life-sized message in silk flowers… And we loved taking a few moments then to watch so many other hurried travelers slow their steps to a stop to see this beautiful traveler-stopper!
